Fast and easy: sushi bowl

Sushi; delicious, but only when served at a restaurant, because preparing it yourself takes a lot of work and some hellaaa practice. Are you also a sushi lover but don’t feel like rolling your own? Then this recipe is made for you. It has never been easier, DRUMROLL, get to know our dear friend, DRUMROLL: the Poké bowl. Poké-what? A food trend that originated in Hawaii but soon dominated cuisines all over the world. It’s a bit of a weird name, but when explained it makes sense. Poké stands for leftovers,  lots of fishers consume the bowl the bowl, and it is the easiest way to make something delicious of your leftovers. Food waste is a global issue, that’s why this recipe is one of our favorites. The traditional recipe consists of rice, raw fish and diverse toppings. Nowadays you can find lots of different variations: fish, meat, vegan, everything is possible. This recipe keeps it simple. Ideal when you don’t have a lot of time but still want to create a scrumptious meal. Also great for dinner parties btw! Are you a fan of the Poké bowls as well? Let us know!

Ingredients

• Rice (2-3 hands steamed or boiled)
• Surimi sticks (1 hand)
• 1/2 avocado
• Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
• Mushrooms (1 hand)
• Soy sauce

Preparations

• Prepare the rice according to the instructions of the package.
• Slice the avocado into pieces and the surimi into strips.
• Sauté the mushrooms at a high temperature and add a bit of soya sauce.
• Scoop the rice into a bowl and add the mushrooms, avocado and surimi sticks.
